Family Education
Mental health disorders affect approximately 4 in 20 youth and 1 in 20 have a severe functional impairment. Parents, other family members and friends can provide the support necessary for children and youth to grow and succeed to become healthy, resilient adults. Often parents and caregivers have questions about both normal stages of social emotional development as well as how to help a child with an identified behavioral health condition. The Family Education materials included here can help to answer some of the questions that parents or caregivers may have regarding a number of behavioral health topics. For additional questions or more in depth information you should talk with your healthcare provider.
